A true down-to-earth camping experience, with stunning nearby woodlands to keep you entertained.

2017 will see the third running of the annual Methlick Cycle Challenge with … Royal Deeside and proceeds across rural Aberdeenshire to Methlick.
Test your endurance with our 70 mile cycle challenge from Ballater to Methlick mostly on old train lines and forestry tracks including the Deeside Way and Formatine & Buchan Way. Or start from Crathes on the 40 mile route or the shorter 20 mile route from Dyce to Methlick.

Posted on Fubar News, an aerial shot of Methlick Bridge after the floods. The water has gone down a bit as you can now make out the cricket wicket, which earlier had been completely submerged. The water came up to the bridge deck and overtopped it.
The wee burn down from Cottonhillock behind Jimmy Duncan’s garage that turned into a torrent and flooded the road, demolishing the wall in front. The pub and other homes on the front, needed lots of sandbags… just in time.
