Posted on Fubar News, an aerial shot of Methlick Bridge after the floods.  The water has gone down a bit as you can now make out  the cricket wicket, which earlier had been completely submerged.  The water came up to the bridge deck and overtopped it.

The wee burn down from Cottonhillock behind Jimmy Duncan’s garage that turned into a torrent and flooded the road, demolishing the wall in  front. The pub and other homes on the front, needed lots of sandbags… just in time.

Methlick Bowling Club held their annual invitation pairs tournament on Saturday and it turned out to be a dazzling day for the host club both on and off the green.

With the sun out for most of the day, the green was running at a super pace and it was the home pairing of Ian Ligerwood and George Barclay who used their local knowledge to good effect to emerge victorious.

The Methlick pair qualified from a tough group to go on and defeat Oldmeldrum 11-4 in the semi-final and they then won the final 10-4 against clubmates Craig Leven and
