The Beaton Hall is a trust hall, run by a committee of volunteers. The hall has to raise money by public subscription and donations as well as running its own activities and charging for ‘lets’ of groups using the hall. The hall has a public entertainments licence and can be used for concerts and fundraising events or smaller theatre productionbs. There is a large kitchen which is moderatly equipped for catering and items can be included in the hire. There is a smaller meeting room on the ground floor that is also avialble for hire.

The hall is also home to Methlick Heritage Society, on the forsts floor. They display and archive many aspects of local history. The hall is regulalrly used as the changing facilities and tea room for the mighty MCC (Methlick Cricket Club) and doubles up as the Pavilion for Lairds Cricket Ground.
