Beaton Hall: Community Climate Action Project

Fiona Murray (PM) expressed her delight to be part of such an exciting project in Aberdeenshire.  As well as overseeing the upgrade of the Beaton Hall, I am very much looking forward to engaging with the community of Methlick offering the opportunity to attend workshops and activities which can assist in cutting their energy household bills together with reducing carbon emissions.  I will be working in partnership with Home Energy Scotland to offer activities such as home energy visits and Fuel Efficient Driver Training.

I look forward to welcoming the community of Methlick to the official project launch celebration evening on Thursday 14th June, 7pm at the Beaton Hall.

Beaton Hall from Methlick successfully secured a share of £15.3 million made available through the Scottish Government’s Climate Challenge Fund (CCF).

Beaton Hall Methlick has been awarded a CCF grant totalling £124,612 which includes maximum funding of £41,325 from the European Regional Development Fund.

The CCF is a Scottish Government grant programme, managed and administered by Keep Scotland Beautiful. The CCF provides funding and support for community groups to help tackle climate change by running projects that reduce local carbon emissions  http://www.keepscotandbeautiful
