Methlick Wins P&J Community Bus

As some of you may have noticed in the press, and social media today we are the winners of the above bus. I am absolutely delighted that we have managed to achieve this, thanks to all for your hard work collecting the tokens.

The 8th Methlick FUNd Run

Saturday 28th April  runner

The usual start time and place –  10am at the Methlick Cricket Pitch in Methlick. All monies raised in aid of New Life and the abandoned babies they care for in centres across Kenya –

Registration for runners begins at 9am in the Scout Hut. £10 for all runners. (Walkers are also welcome).

Option of a 10km or 5km route, plus the run round the cricket pitch for those in primary school or younger. Parental permission required for everyone under 18s. 

Please click here for a poster 2018 Poster and here for a sponsor form 2018 Poster. Sponsors are optional, but please bring your money on the day. If you’d prefer you can simply turn up on the day and pay a £10 registration to run.

We also need volunteers to marshal the course, provide cakes and tray bakes and help with teas/coffee. If you can help in anyway please contact Stuart or Michelle ( or 806783).

The next meeting of the Society will be held on 6th March in the Beaton Hall Methlick at 7.30pm.

The speaker will be Mr John Brough.

His subject will be entitled “ Experiences of an Air Traffic Controller on Barra, Coll and Tiree”

All welcome.

Temporary Road Closure – C118S St John’s Wells – 12-23/03/2018 **DIVERSION ROUTE CHANGE**

Please note that due to Drainage Works being carried out by Aberdeenshire Council it will be necessary in the interests of public safety to apply the following restriction to traffic. Access will be provided for emergency vehicles and vehicles requiring access to properties but may be subject to delay until the road is cleared of construction plant to allow safe passage through the works.

Site notices will be erected in due course indicating the temporary restriction to traffic and the alternative routes where applicable.

Diversion is via U118S, C118S, A947, C118S and vice versa –  F1099c – C118S St Johns Wells Map

Tarves Church Guild Soup and Sweet

There is a Church Guild run Soup and Sweet in the Melvin Hall, this Saturday 24th February. 12 noon until 1:30pm. Please bring your own bowl and spoon.
