A big BIG
to everyone who gave up their Saturday morning to come and run the 6th Methlick Fund Run.
We were blessed yet again with some fantastic weather, bright sunshine and clear blue skies and not a breath of wind. Perfect!
It was great to see a number of ‘regulars’, but also good to see many new faces supporting New Life Homes.
In total we had 41 runners on the 5km and 10km routes, with another 7 walkers and a few dogs completing the 10km circuit.
Please find attached a full list of positions and times of each runner. (Apologies for any spelling errors).
I’ve also attached a few photos from the start and finish line.
Congratulations to Euan (5km) and Ruaridh (10km) for being the first back.
Congratulations to Jayne van der Post, who finished 4th and was the first lady back.
Congratulations also to Eve Learmouth, the first junior female back, finishing 9th overall and to Robert Kennedy the first junior boy in the 10km run.
also to everyone who helped on the day. To all run marshalls, those on registration, those preparing the teas and coffees, and to all the bakers who provided some fantastic cakes and bakes. Without your assistance there would be no run.
Thanks to everyone’s efforts we have collected around £1,500 so far. Gift aid will no doubt help push this figure up.
If you planned to make the run, but couldn’t make it, but would like to make a donation or if you still have any sponsor money to collect you can make a payment via our event page on the virgin money website –
Thank you once again to everyone who came along, helped or donated. Every penny raised will help make a big difference to an abandoned Kenyan baby rescued by New Life’s Homes and who’s future would otherwise be far more bleak.
Many many thanks and I look forward to seeing many of you again next year!!!
