TWO people have been injured in a serious two-van crash tonight.

One man had to be cut free from the wreckage and was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary with serious, but not life-threatening, leg injuries.

The other man was walking wounded.

The incident happened at around 5.10pm on the B9170 Methlick to New Deer road at Cairnorrie Farm. The road was closed for just under three hours.

A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesman said: “We got the call shortly after 5pm.

“Two people are injured and one of them is trapped.”
