First of all a very big THANK YOU to everyone who came along and ran/walked/jogged the Methlick Fund on Saturday.
I hope the legs weren’t too stiff on Sunday.
It was good to see some familiar faces, but also a number of new ones. In total we had 74 participants, plus 1 dog, the biggest turn out in the 5 years of the event. I really hope that everyone enjoyed their morning’s exercise.
Also a big thank you to everyone who helped on the day with registrations and run organising, or prepared the delicious cakes/bakes, served teas/coffee, marshalled, supported those on the course and most of all donated and sponsored.
For those out on the course, once the prerun early mist had burnt away, we were blessed with clear blue skies and fantastic sunshine.
I’ve attached some times and places for some of the first finishers. This information is also on the Scottish running guide website –
At the end of the day this event is all about those children in Kenya who are cared for by New Life Home Trust. The babies who are abandoned, taken in, nursed, fed and loved. Thanks to everyone’s time, effort and support following the run on Saturday we have raised in the region of £2,000. This is truly fantastic. With more monies to be collected and with the gift aid on top we hope to reach somewhere close to £2,500.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!!
This will really make a difference to the lives of these children, your generosity and support is very much appreciated.
If you didn’t make it to the run on Saturday, but would like to make a donation this can be done through our Virgin money page, but please remember if you are a tax payer to please gift aid your donation.
Thank you all once again, this wee run of ours is an amazing event and I really hope to see you next year, for what I hope will be an even bigger run.
Thank you and God bless,
