The building works on Methlick Play Park are nearly at a close and its looking fantastic. An official opening ceremony on Sunday 15th September 15th from 1-3pm (ceremony at 1.30pm).

A BBQ and cold foods will be on offer to all the children / parents / visitors for free (donations can be made if desired). James Hall, the playpark project leader will thank everyone for the support, funding and to acknowledge all the effort. Local news papers have offered to cover the story too. Methlick kids will be having some fun for the  first time on the new park equipment.

The playpark is the second of a three phase project to develop Methlicks central trust park. The first is the leveling and creation of new football pitches. this has been done but drainage issues has delayed grass planting, but is now on course for next year, when Methlick FC will return to home ground.  A third phase is in planning where lights and all weather or tennis facilities are being considered.

James Hall and his kids – ready for the opening.
