COMMUNITY GARDEN PLANT SALE IN SUNSHINE

Methlick’s Community Garden Project has raised over £440 for funds following its annual sale of plants at the Community Garden at Gurgedykes.  The sun beat down on visitors who browsed the stalls and bought the bedding plants and perennials on offer from the project polytunnel. Peopled enjoyed the BBQ in the sunshine during the Saturday morning through to lunchtime. Project Pat Edward thanked local gardener,  Andy Paterson for many of the plants and the efforts to bring them on for sale and for all the help other members had put in for the successful day.

The project is also shortly to have a boost from extra work being done by the Criminal Jsutce system, where extra work to improve the site will help the Garden project maintain its viability.  Councillor Paul Johnston who attended the sale welcomed the news. More
